Web Designer/Developer
Description
The designer/developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining websites for Mgya Media and for its external clients. The designer/developer will be skilled in creating XHTML/CSS W3c validated mark-up, converting PSD designs to HTML/CSS markup, have knowledge of CMS technologies such as WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, and PHP and MySQL.
Duties and Responsibilities

• Establish the purpose of the website based upon its target audience, and assist in planning of overall strategy regarding the web development.
• Determine any functionality that the site must support, for example, whether it will handle video, enquires, online transactions.
• Responsible for the design of the web pages, including graphics, animation and functionality. Writing the programming code, either from scratch or by adapting existing website software and graphics packages to meet overall requirements
• To update, maintain and develop related web pages infrastructure and application related to existing websites.
• Test related website and identify any technical problems.
Skills Required.

• XHTML/CSS
• Photoshop or other graphic related packages
• PSD to XHTML/CSS conversion
• PHP, WordPress, Joomla, Drupal and other open source content management Systems
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
